3D Laser Scanning Engineer

About the role

Combine advanced measurement technology with international travel as a 3D Laser Scanning Engineer. In this versatile role, you carry out accurate scans on challenging industrial projects in the Netherlands, Europe, and occasionally further afield. You work with high-end scanners and software to digitally map complex environments in great detail.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out 3D laser scans on site for industrial projects in the Netherlands and abroad
• Processing and registering captured point clouds
• Switching between multiple projects while maintaining a clear overview
• Collaborating closely with colleagues and communicating in a customer-oriented manner at project locations
• Ensuring the safe and accurate execution of measurement activities

Requirements

• At least an MBO (vocational) qualification in a technical discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology (AOT/Vapro), or Automotive Engineering
• At least one year of experience with 3D laser scanning and scanning systems in industrial or complex environments
• At least one year of experience in land surveying, geodesy, or industrial measurement
• Experience in processing and registering point clouds
• Good command of the English language
• In possession of a valid category B driving licence
• In possession of a VCA VOL certificate, or willingness to obtain or renew this in the short term
• A flexible mindset and willingness to regularly travel for several consecutive days

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Dutch language
• Experience with Cyclone software for point cloud processing
• Experience with FARO and/or Leica scanners and reality capture
