About the role
As a Mechanical Inspector at Q4S, you will work on challenging projects in steel construction, offshore, and industrial sectors. You will play a key role in ensuring quality and safety through accurate inspections and reporting. This position offers a long-term assignment of 12+ months with market-rate remuneration.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical inspections on steel structures, piping, and equipment.
- Check weld connections for visual defects and dimensions.
- Assess surface treatments and corrosion protection.
- Prepare inspection reports and document findings.
- Identify deviations and advise on corrective measures.
- Participate in handover inspections and quality controls.
- Coordinate with project management and clients regarding inspection results.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Mechanical Inspector.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience in preparing inspection reports.
- Proficiency in Dutch, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to work on-site.
- VCA VOL certificate.
- Mechanical Inspector diploma (preferably).
Nice to have
- Experience in the offshore or petrochemical industry.
- Knowledge of NEN-EN-ISO standards.
- Experience with digital inspection management.
- NEN-EN-ISO 9712 Level 2 (VT).
