Production Leader Subcontracting

About the role

As Production Leader Subcontracting, you are the key link between our client and external partners for subcontracted construction activities. You ensure flawless preparation, planning, and quality monitoring within complex steel construction projects in shipbuilding or yacht construction. A challenging role in which your leadership, technical insight, and organisational talent directly contribute to the project results.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, planning, coordinating, and monitoring the quality of subcontracted structural construction works
• Ensuring the timely availability of materials, resources, and work packages
• Monitoring progress at subcontractors and analysing deviations and changes in a timely manner
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with standards
• Reviewing engineering information and proactively identifying discrepancies
• Overseeing and coordinating inspections, interim tests, and final acceptance procedures
• Ensuring a structured and successful handover of works to the project team

Requirements

• Completed technical degree at Bachelor level (HBO), preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture
• Relevant experience in a production, construction, or project environment within the steel construction, shipbuilding, or yacht building sectors
• Demonstrable experience in managing and supervising subcontractors and suppliers
• Sound knowledge of steel structures, hull, and superstructure works
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in both Dutch and English
• Proven skills in planning, organising, anticipating, and working in a results-oriented manner
