About the role
As a Project Engineer, you are the linchpin for all engineering activities within challenging projects in shipbuilding and yacht building. You connect technical disciplines with procurement and production, and strictly monitor planning, quality and progress. A versatile role in which your maritime expertise and organisational talent have a direct impact on the end result.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and delivering all engineering activities within the project.
- Ensuring optimal collaboration between the technical disciplines.
- Making engineering information available in a complete and timely manner.
- Translating project objectives into concrete engineering work packages.
- Monitoring progress and steering on schedule, priorities and quality.
- Developing and managing the engineering schedule.
- Assessing the impact of changes within the project.
- Acting as the liaison between engineering, procurement and production.
- Identifying opportunities, managing risks and reporting on progress.
- Continuously improving processes and working methods.
Requirements
- Completed technical degree at Bachelor's level (HBO), such as Maritime Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant work experience within the shipbuilding sector.
- Demonstrable knowledge of steel structures, hull and superstructure construction.
- Good command of written and spoken Dutch and English.
- Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.
