About the role
As Project Leader Production, you will lead complex shipbuilding projects and closely monitor the planning, technical execution, and overall progress. You act as the linchpin between engineering, construction, and outfitting, ensuring seamless coordination between all parties involved. A challenging leadership role within the maritime sector where your technical expertise and organisational talent make the difference.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring the progress, planning, and technical execution of the project.
- Advising on complex issues regarding construction and outfitting.
- Reviewing and evaluating engineering packages.
- Ensuring strict compliance with quality standards, work methods, and safety regulations.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for operational issues and planning queries.
- Promptly identifying bottlenecks and ensuring effective coordination.
- Achieving optimal alignment between work activities, material flows, and delivery milestones.
- Contributing to continuous product and process improvements.
- Promoting safety, quality, and environmental procedures and coordinating HSSE measures.
Requirements
- Completed technical degree at HBO (Bachelor) level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- Demonstrable relevant work experience within the shipbuilding sector.
- In-depth technical knowledge of construction and outfitting activities.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to switch gears quickly and maintain an overview.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Good command of written and spoken Dutch and English.
