Transport Engineer

About the role

As a Transport Engineer, you are responsible for transport and docking engineering within leading maritime projects. You assess critical technical calculations, coordinate engineering activities, and closely monitor schedule and quality. A versatile role in which your maritime expertise directly contributes to flawless execution.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for transport and docking engineering within the defined scope
• Establishing design premises and monitoring deliverables
• Verifying technical data and calculations such as weight, centre of gravity, and lifting arrangements
• Assessing technical risks and performing or checking calculations
• Coordinating engineering activities and monitoring the schedule
• Advising on the impact of changes and ensuring clear documentation
• Contributing to process improvement and mentoring junior engineers

Requirements

• Vocational or Bachelor's degree (MBO/HBO) in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable discipline
• Relevant experience in shipbuilding and/or yacht construction, stability, engineering, and transport
• Able to critically review technical calculations and engineering information
• Strong communication skills and a structured, proactive working attitude
• Results-driven, quality-conscious, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset

Nice to have

• Experience with Cadmatic Hull, AutoCAD, and/or Rhino 3D
